Volume required (mL) = Required amount (mg) ÷ Concentration (mg/mL)

For example, a required amount of 100 mg at an identified concentration of 50 mg/mL produces:

100 mg ÷ 50 mg/mL = 2 mL

The mg amount has not changed. The mL result changes because the second liquid contains fewer milligrams in each milliliter.
